BEGIN YOUR REPRODUCTIVE WELLNESS JOURNEY.

Many mothers feel suffocated and trapped. Some may feel if their partner knew how they truly felt, they wouldn’t trust them anymore. Maybe you feel like you cannot escape the feeling of dread and darkness. Maybe sometimes you feel like you want to disappear. It’s possible you could be experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder. During our initial intake assessment, I will use different screening tools and ask questions to further explore the symptoms you are experiencing. Every mom is different. We will take our time and explore what this means for you.

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders

The loss of an unborn child is indescribable. For many, such a loss can test a mother’s self-worth and raise feelings of self-doubt. Did I do something wrong? Does my partner blame me? What could I have done differently? These are all common questions after experiencing a miscarriage. Mothers can also experience a loss of partnership, identity, body image, and self-confidence. There isn’t a “one-size fits all” solution to treating grief because it’s a process. We will use sessions to explore what your grief means to you and how grief may have altered your outlook on motherhood. Most importantly, we will go at your pace. If you’re ready, book a consultation. I am here to help.

Planning to have a baby can be exciting and overwhelming. Whether you are a first-time mother or a seasoned parent, every pregnancy is different. Adapting to a new normal has its challenges from fluctuating moods, hormonal shifts, unsteady routines, work-life balance, etc. I work with mothers to create individualized treatment plans that fit their needs and address their goals in meaningful and productive ways. This will create the framework for our sessions and guides our work together.
